Cap & Caption Weekly Reminders

What this program is

Cap & Caption Weekly Reminders is an optional SMS reminder service for account holders of capandcaption.com. Each week, we text you a short reminder with that week's memory prompt for your child and a link to add the entry to your book. You must be 18 or older and a U.S. mobile subscriber to opt in.

How to opt in

Opt-in happens on the web only, inside your logged-in account at capandcaption.com/settings (sign-in required). On the "Weekly reminder" card, choose Text message, enter your U.S. mobile number, and check the consent box (not pre-selected) that reads:

I agree to receive recurring automated weekly reminder text messages from Cap & Caption (Clear Media Design) at the mobile number above. Message frequency varies (about 1/week). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. You can use Cap & Caption without ever opting into SMS (email reminders are the default).

Message frequency

Approximately 1 message per week (up to 5 per month), plus occasional service notices related to your reminders (for example, a confirmation when you change your reminder time).

Cost

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Cap & Caption does not charge a fee to send you these reminders.

Example weekly reminder:

Cap & Caption — Week 14 for Sam: A teacher who shaped them. Who is one teacher this year who really got through to them, and what did they do differently? Add this week's memory: https://www.capandcaption.com/p/abc123 Reply STOP to opt out.

Example service notice:

Cap & Caption: your weekly reminder is now set for Sundays at 6:00 PM. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.

Keywords

• STOP (also END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT) — reply with any of these to any message and we will immediately stop sending SMS to that number. You'll receive one final confirmation text.
• HELP (also INFO) — reply and we'll respond with support contact info. You can also email info@capandcaption.com any time.

Supported carriers

AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and most other U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Numbers are shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of sending your reminders. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. Use of the service is also governed by our Terms of Service.
