The story behind Cap & Caption.
Cap & Caption was born from a simple, real moment: watching my oldest get ready to become a senior, and realizing I wanted somewhere private, intentional, and permanent to keep the memories we were making.
"The days are long, but the years are short. I wanted to pause weekly and soak it all in — somewhere that was just ours."
— Lindsay, founder of Cap & Caption
Why a physical book?
We take thousands of photos, but most of them live in the cloud and never get looked at again. A printed book gives senior year a beginning, a middle, and an ending. It becomes something a student can hold at graduation — and something a parent can open again in ten years and actually feel.
What makes Cap & Caption different?
This is not a social feed. There are no likes, no public albums, no ads. Just one private prompt a week, your own photos, and your own words. By graduation, it becomes a hardcover keepsake that belongs to your family.
Who is it for?
Cap & Caption is built for parents of graduating seniors — and for seniors who want to tell their own story in their own voice. It works for back-to-school, senior nights, college decisions, prom, and every small moment in between.
